It was quite and staff was always helpful. My area never got over packed and stayed comfortable.

We have stayed at Acorn for many years and used to really like it, but something has changed. The campground has been in need of some maintenance and upgrades for a while now, but that's not my main complaint. Sure the roads need some long overdue maintenance and many sites are just a muddy overgrown mess. All of them could use some new stone put down, but in spite of that it's usually quiet, used to be clean and we always liked it. We kept coming back for several years. Not anymore!! It looks like it's now a Thousand Trails campground and is just horrible. We were there for 10 days in August, not once were the bathrooms ever cleaned or touched in that period. They were truly disgusting with plugged up dirty disgusting toilets. It stayed that way from the day we checked in until the day we left. The showers closest to our site never had hot water at all for the entire visit. My wife said the lady's room was similarly disgusting. We ended up using our trailers bathroom and shower much more that we usually do. We left here and booked 2 months, Sept - Oct at another near by campground that had bathrooms and showers that were cleaned daily, paved roads, and clean sites. Acorn can be sure that they will never see us again.

Awesome, clean the staff goes above and beyond, there is only a few but they keep that campground hopping. The sites are large and well kept, there are a few sites that you can see they have been here for awhile but well kept. The campers there are nice and friendly. I felt very safe and comfortable hated to leave can't wait to go back!

Location of this place is great, but some of the seasonal sites look very run down, and obviously folks have been there for many seasons (decks, landscaping etc.) We have a big travel trailer (38 foot) pulled by a large pickup truck. We were told that their sites could accommodate it. The campsite itself was big enough, but the road to get in was NOT. Many low hanging branches and mature trees right at the curves, it was hard to get our rig into the site, and almost impossible to get out. We didn't complain while we were there because there wasn't anything that they could do to. We won't be going back because our rig is too large. I wish they had said on their website or in the booking process that they could not accommodate large rigs because of the curvy roads and trees. So if you have a large RV and like your paint, look somewhere else. Otherwise it seemed nice. Honestly we were in Cape May for stuff there and only slept in the campground. The playground and pool seemed nice.
