After reading mixed reviews I was a little nervous camping here. But we ended up having a lot of fun. We stayed on the non lake side in the back area where the sites are more secluded and private from one another. The bathrooms on the lake side have been recently renovated where the ones on our side were not. They weren't awful and hey, you're camping right? They will probably update the others soon. The town of Lake George was a fun day trip and we also spent a day on the other end of the lake exploring Fort Ticonderoga. There is horseback riding about a mile and a half from the park that looked to be fun but we skipped that on account of I have a horse at home 😀 The beach area was small but we didn't really use it. Just went and explored the area quick on our bikes. There are lots of places to eat nearby and places to rent boats. We'll be back next year for sure at either this campsite or the one up closer to the fort.

Somehow luckily woke up just as the sun was rising, ran down...truly grateful to be blessed by the divine powers that be to witness this ♥️💜💙💚

Great place, nice lots, secluded and yet close to the civilization. No firewood tho - they have a deal with a local business, a truck driving around the camp and selling bundles. Very convenient, but not cheap ($20 /3). The local store next door sells them ~$20 / 2 but it's a really good hardwood and bundles are bigger. Bathrooms are not the cleanest, but hey - if you want clean bathrooms, stay in a hotel. I wish I have pets - I think they have a blast.

We have been going there for last three years and we have camped on either sides of the registration office/road. The sides near to the lake side are smaller and lack privacy( if you are looking for) as compared to sites across the road.though they have renovated the one bathroom n shower area, others definitely need upgrade. Best part is the restaurant n grocery shop near to the camp.. fire pits were good and were neatly cleaned..
