Very pleased with our first experience to Payne. Just wish it hadn't been closing for septic issues. Would've loved another day.

Stayed at Payne twice now. Once at site 46 and then again at 47. Site 46 is much more shaded and has lake access but it’s rocky. There’s also poison ivy just off the site. Site 47 had great lake access but it’s mostly in the sun. My only complaint about this campground is the bathroom. It’s what I would consider a long walk to get there, so it’s easier to just drive there but I hate doing that. Also the bathrooms are rough. The women’s showers are pretty gross.

Needs some updates and repair. Shower only had hot water. Bed springs are noisy. Price was good, it is quite.
