It rained every day we were there and the campsites are close! But it was easy to back into and it's very clean. Folks are friendly. And its pet friendly with a very nice dog park!

We just got a new camper and booked a week at Anchor Down and we couldn’t be anymore happy with our choice! I called in to change our camp site twice and the staff was more than willing to help! We arrived to the RV resort to a down pat registration process and welcoming staff. We stayed in site 29 which is one of the longest sites at the resort. The views were just as amazing as they look in pictures. While there were so many things to enjoy at the park, I must say we enjoyed the dog park the most. The park is conveniently located just outside of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We enjoyed the drive out to the park to hike Clingmans Dome. There is also a small marina down the road from the RV Resort called Douglas Marina where we rented a small speed boat to check out the lake (they allow pets on the boat). Overall it was an amazing week and we owe that to Anchor Down! We look forward to coming back in the years to come!

The best place to go to escape, relax, rejuvenate, paddleboard, fish, boat, ride bikes or walk in nature. The resort was pristine. The staff kept the grounds that way and they were friendly, stop for a chat, obviously enjoyed their work. It's a happy place. We are already planning to return on the next vacation time.
