Very nice relaxing campground. Great bike trail so bring your bikes! Water sites are nicer but any site is still good.

I would like to give this place an excellent rating. Unfortunately one of the park hosts has completely ruined this place for us. She was constantly watching our campsite and giving us warnings for every single issue she could find. For example we had one tire off the asphalt in the dirt. We woke up to a warning on our truck. Another time I was loading stuff into my car to leave for work and as soon as I walked inside to get my backpack she came to tell me that I absolutely must move my car right this instant, it was blocking the road that had maybe one car per hour. I'll not be staying here again nor will any of the other campers that came with us.

Myself and my 2 kids, and my niece and her husband all went and we had a blast. It's a great place to pack a picnic and take the kids to swim. It wasnt that crowded. And it's a clean, safe place to carry the family for the day or for a weekend. Whereas they have campsites.

We have stayed at this campground many times over the years. We just returned from a stay at the campground. Please be aware that out of three lower loop campgrounds, only one bath house is open and it only had one working toilet. I found the bath house not to be as well maintained as they have been in the past. You will drive around two closed to get to one open. This was a major inconvenience for our family as I’m sure it was to the other campers as well. I believe it was the fox loop that had no open bath house. The Bear loop did have a bath house open. It is the upper loop as you drive down the mountain. Upon arriving, we had to wait in the parking lot for along time before we could enter to drive to our site. We were 1 hour early, the sites were already open from the day before. We have camped all over the state and usually if a campsite is ready an hour early arrival is no problem. We have never had to wait before at this campground. Keep in mind that when they say 2 check-in, they mean it. Upon arrival at our campsite, we had parked our car off the side of the roadway to get our camper in the site space. We were immediately notified by staff that if couldn’t sit there. They told us it would have to be moved to the overflow area which was up at the upper mountain area near the group campground area. We explained that we were only disconnecting our camper and we would be moving the car in just a moment. It was just not a welcoming campground this stay. We could really see a big difference in the attitude of the staff. We will be camping elsewhere next time.
