A really nice park! A quiet, peaceful state park. Horse trails, hiking trails, BMX trails, and mountain bike trails. Also, there was a Frisbee golf course. Restrooms were kept clean. Friendly hosts. We took advantage of the hiking trails. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I just got back from a 4 night, 5 day camping trip today from there. It was absolutely beautiful, very well kept up, spacious sites and restrooms were very clean. Fire wood and ice available there on the spot. Very peaceful! Definitely will return many more times.

Its larger than expected. Roads are paved and very smooth. Plenty of signage so you don't get lost. Nice ponds to fish and easy access. Restrooms are clean and easy to get to. The hiking trails are well maintained too.

We loved hiking through the Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton. It was pretty easy even though there were a few hills we had to navigate over. The park is perfect for camping, picnics, and fishing! Enjoy the outdoors!

Very nice park. Interior roads were just paved. Stayed in upland campground loop. Bottom loop looks really nice, but check the weather before you book down there. A large portion of bottom loop is in a "flash flood" area, and from what I saw it hasn't been long since a flash flood... Bike/walking trails are in excellent condition. Also have horse trails. Staff was very friendly. Will be back.
