Located in Northern VA, at the top of Shenandoah Valley. Great place to stop if traveling through or a perfect vacation away from it all. Trolley bus trips April-October. Great place for family camping!

Only nice thing about this place is the bathrooms are clean and they have a nice store. Basically it’s a glorified parking lot. There was no shade my campsite was sloped to the point I didn’t feel comfortable putting up my clam shell. I would not stay here again for any amount of money. Then add to that there are some very snarky people that work here.

Very nice park, very clean and a friendly helpful staff. Easy to find and get into with your rv. We were planning to only stay 1 night on our way home from Florida, but decided to stay an extra night. Pool wasn't open(March) so I can't comment on it other than the area around it looked well taken care of, as were the sites themselves. We will definitely come back on our next trip through Virginia. After reading other reviews stating that the staff were rude, I have to say that definitely was not the experience we had, the staff we encountered were beyond friendly , right down to the resident turkeys we had a visit from. The only negative thing I can say about Candy Hill Campground is the road noise.

In the 30 years I’ve been in an RV, this has to be the worst campground I’ve ever stayed at. It’s clean, no doubt. But the employees are absolutely rude. Believe the others about the guy on the golf cart. He will follow you around like the Gestapo. The interstate is loud and it’s right by the site. On the other side is a power substation. I’d rather stay in a rest area during a stop over than this place. I will never go there again. Absolutely terrible experience. It feels more like staying in a prison than a campground

Staying one night as part of a multi stop trip. From making (and changing) the reservation by phone, to check in, to LP service, to offering their own fresh eggs from their own chickens on site, to the clean facilities, easy on/off access, and REALLY friendly and efficient staff, this place is a gem if these kinds of things are meaningful to you. Sure there are times you want to camp under the stars with no highway noise - that’s not this place - but it’s great for our needs on this trip. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!!

A highly organized and exceptional place to hang your hat for a day ....or longer! Great Staff! Always there to help! A bit pricey...but mind you ....it is a worthwhile stay!
