Carlyle Lake - COE/Coles Creek Rec Area
Carlyle Lake Coe Coles Creek Recreation Area is a popular outdoor recreation area located in Carlyle, Illinois. The area is situated on the shores of Carlyle Lake, a large man-made lake created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the 1950s. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming, and other water activities. The recreation area also features a variety of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as picnic areas, campgrounds, and boat ramps. The area is also home to a variety of wildlife, including bald eagles, ospreys, and white-tailed deer.

Beautiful place. Used to go there when I was young and it has bloomed since then. Clean restrooms and showers. Camp grounds great also. A must if you travel this way

This is a great campground and good family place, just right on the lake and wonderful shaded spots , Clean bathrooms and flat camping areas. We were right on the point and it was just a little bit windy the weekend we were there but I would definitely go again. Great place for family and kids
