Coralville Lake - COE/Sandy Beach
Coralville Lake COE Sandy Beach in Solon, Iowa is a popular destination for swimming, fishing, and camping. The beach is located on the north shore of Coralville Lake, a large reservoir created by the damming of the Iowa River. The lake is surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, making it a great spot for outdoor recreation. The beach is a sandy shoreline with plenty of room for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. The campground it’s self is awesome. The beach though is another story completely. The park has completely let it go. I was here in the beginning of summer and it was ok at best. Today I was completely disappointed. The ramp was busy but the beach is mostly overgrown. Trash everywhere but the topper of it all was the carcass of filleted catfish littering the shore line. What a tragic shame. I took my puppy down there to swim but could not even subject him to that disgraceful mess. Shame on the fishermen that litter the beaches like that and shame on the park for letting it get that bad.

It is quite, clean, and beautiful. We had site 11 overlooking the water. There is shower, and power on site. Enjoyed our time in this place would recommend.

Camp host has been rude both times we've stayed here. Makes you feel very unwelcome. Loud party the first trip and then riding his cart through our site. Too bad, the park is nice and clean but not worth dealing with him.

This campground is really clean, the staff are really nice, and everyone that camps there is really nice too! I went over memorial day weekend and we had no issues there. I highly recommend this campground to anyone that wants to camp on the lake.

No water at sites. Need to upgrade camp sites!! Also need speed bumps by play ground. And no bicycles on play area!! Need to have sign for no bikes or skate boards or scooters. Very dangerous for little kids on playground mat!!!
