I'm not sure what provoked me to give such a low rating 5 years ago (I gave 2 stars) but I'm here to correct that huge mistake. 5 stars for how well this place is maintained. There's so much to learn with every visit. That said, I would LOVE to bring my 6 yr old there to check out The museum and then to ride the train but I really need to know their schedule/business hours for those 2 things, specifically. Does anyone have them?

Had a great time at the Holloween train ride. Great for young kids. Enjoyed some hot popcorn and talked to all volunteer staff helping to preserve this bit of local history. Looking forward to Christmas train rides.

PERMANENT RESIDENTS NOT friendly AT ALL. There are permanent residents that live there and their campers are a huge eye sore, not maintained none the less extremely rude. Did not feel safe. We pulled up after a 4.5 hour drive and let out dog out while we unhook the camper and got yelled at by the permanent resident right away for not having the dog on the leash, she is a loving dog and has never had any sort of aggression and literally just needed 5 mins so we could unhook the camper and get her leash out of it. The lots are extremely thin, although they are pull through if you have your dog on a leash it will easily go into the other camping area to which we got yelled at for that too by a different permanent resident. The people at the office are nice but the place looks much nicer in pictures.

Great little oasis! You’d hardly know you are in the middle of town! Staff is great-we LOVE the longtime camp host Cindi. She is literally THE BEST! Always doing everything she can to make everyone’s stay wonderful, not to mention she is just so sweet. ❤️ Be sure to check out the miniature trains train 🚂 while you are there! And if you’re lucky, you may even get to catch a vintage baseball game! ⚾️
