The smaller camping loop is quieter with nice views of the river and access to the Swamp Trail plus a boat launch if you have something to paddle. Bathrooms are very clean but when we were there Jan 27 thru 31 there was no water pressure at showers and only temp was scalding hot.

Nice campground in pretty area. The river is very nice. Some camp sites are a bit tight in the back loop but it is the prettiest with the river views. Nice restrooms and laundry.

Great little campground to have as a hub to go sight see. To the person who checked us in on 11/5/2021, she deserves an award for having such incredible composure during an influx of eight camp vehicles arriving all at once! RV sites are good. Even the tent sites for having a tent or camper van were good. Yes, this campground did sustain damage to the grounds and lost many trees. All of the damage was cleaned up before our visit. Bathrooms here are suites. Each has it's own private toilet, sink, shower. Alabama State Parks should come take notes on what a proper bathroom setup and maintenance looks like!

Checking was great. Sites are nice sizes and spaced apart. Sadly they had lost a lot of trees, I bet they supplied lots of shade. Spacious Bathrooms, real bathrooms with shower/ toilets in one room. Playgrounds looked fun but we didn't play on them since we arrived late in the afternoon. Only upgrade would be to add more washers/dryers.
