Loved the campsites here they were clean and we'll kept. We stayed here for 2 days and visited Lehman caves and Wheeler Peak. Both were amazing and I can't wait to go back next year. Make sure to get reservations for the caves several weeks to a few months ahead of time otherwise you'll miss out. I made reservations almost 2 months out and the only day there were spots available was Sunday morning. We tried to get to Wheeler Peak summit but the winds were just to strong that morning. Maybe 40-60mph and a cloud was forming around the summit. Make sure to be cautious as you go up as it's 13,063ft so take your time. The trails up the the base of the summit are still amazing and well worth the trip to the top. You can do about a 4 mile loop just on them and visit Stella lake and have a nice day hike.

We stayed here in 2019 on our visit from England and what a great place , nicely laid out , great camping pitch and decent toilets . Beautiful sunset and great view down to the prairie a couple of thousand feet lower down and a stunning drive further up to over 10 000 ft . Well worth spending time here

If you're trying to get away from the heat, the dry desert, and the crowds, this place is perfect. At over 7,000 feet it's alpine with flowing streams, greenery, and lots of wildlife. Lots.of hiking trails, but bring layers because it can get cool. Be advised, though, that if you want to tour the nearby Lehman Caves schedule it well in advance, and be prepared for dry camping, because there are no hook-ups.

The campground is very well kept and spacious. I love that once in your camp, almost all other camp sites just disappear. While there were a few exceptions and some of the sites I saw were not quite as secluded, they were the minority. There are at least 4 sets of pit toilets throughout the camp that are all clean. The stream runs down both sides of camp and most sites have easy access to the stream. There are a few small trout that the kids had fun trying to catch.

We absolutely LOVED this campground. We stayed the first night on the top campground Wheeler's Peak but it's 10,000 feet up and I was having issues catching my breath so we went to the upper Lehman campgrounds and found a perfect spot right next to the Creek. We could hear the Creek all night. Clean bathrooms, water, picnic table, fire pit, grill and the hosts were so nice. We saw deer and wild turkeys just walking through our site. I can't wait to go back. We could not get into the caves because they were sold out. Next time we will book in advance. Great Basin National Park was so beautiful.
