Sites along the lake are beautiful, perfectly flat (good for tents and RVs), and feet from the water. The swimming beaches are small, but with nice sand. Overall a quiet and relaxing camp grounds. Only reason I didn't give five stars were the bath house, which was old and showers sprayed with pressure that could strip your skin.

I really enjoy the multi use trail for mountain biking! I would say it's a beginner to intermediate level ride. It is a loop of about 5 miles or about 7 miles of you add the extra ridge trail. It's very quiet with few riders and lots of wildlife.

We are blessed to have people like Tammy and Kent over seeing Paynes Creek.. they are very helpful, they are The nicest people to deal with, we really like these two. The camp ground was in very good shape.. My only wish is that the county would upgrade and remodel the shower and rest rooms.. !!!
