First I would like to say, beautiful little campground . But at our site#16 we had access to nice little woods to walk with dogs. Only to find human waste & tp. Reported to host. Was not taken care of while we were there, but still charged full price.

Very good deal. The campgrounds doesn’t claim to have many activities. They make up in scenery, also accommodating staff. Only gave 4 stars since our camping site was very narrow. passing through we will definitely be back

A really great surprise at the end of a long driving day. This campground is about 7 mi from Wells, NV near I-80. I was concerned about camping here because the temperature driving across Nevada was mid-90s (F). But the elevation gain really knocked the temperature down. The temperature at the campsite was at least 10 degrees F cooler than down in Wells. It really changed my opinions of camping in Nevada. The campground itself has nice views of the mountain, and it probably 1000 ft lower than the lake at the top. We were in site 11, which I liked, it was on the top row of sites and lots of scrub brush between us and the camp road and other campers. The mountain and rise are west of the campground, so you will lose direct sunlight earlier than sunset. Good to know for next time since we use solar to recharge. The campsite had a concrete pad at the front, and was dirt further back. Several box toilets, so although the campground was full it wasn't a problem in the mornings. There is a camp host at the campsite (2021) who sold firewood as well. Only wildlife I saw near this campsite was a badger crossing the road. First time I've seen one wild in the US.

Our spot was nice and set back in the trees. After years of driving through Wells, my family finally learned about the Ruby Mountains and decided to go camping. The campground has great tasting potable water. Super clean, nice smelling outhouses. Close to Angel Lake and hiking trails. Poor cell reception but you can connect in certain spots (like the cattle guard at the entrance to the campground).
