This park has become our favorite for a relaxing weekend getaway. We have a favorite site that is probably our favorite for all of the parks we have visited. It is quiet, peaceful, small, and beautiful. There is not much to do in the immediate area, but that's why we like this park. There is hiking here as well as a spot to put in your kayak/canoe. The nearest store is a Dollar General about 6 miles away. If you need some rest and solitude to get a reset from today's lifestyle, this is the place.

Nice state park campground. RV sites have sewage hookup. I wish the ground was crush and run instead of the big gravel but still nice. There is a hiking trail from the tent sites, just down from the RV sites. It's about a half mile and takes you to the canoe/kayak landing. There is a nice little beach and swimming area over there that's not usually crowded or well known. Not a large place though. There are Only about 8 parking spots there so best to hike from the camping area. We camped with 2 small kids so it would have been nice to have a playground area but still, we plan to come back!

Very pretty trails and beautiful lake! The trails have beautiful waterfalls and we even found a bear bathing hole. The ranger is very nice and doesn't bother anybody. I left a day early due to a rude new camper that moved in next to me that had a screaming kid and they insisted on playing with it in front of my campsite instead of inside their own! But that's not the parks fault. I was really enjoying my stay until they came. The roads in the RV area definitely need to be redone and I don't know how in the world the large RVs manage those curves! Props to y'all for sure! I stayed in site 8 and due to the hill it was a little harder than usual to back in at an angle. Overall a very nice place though! I would definitely go back again.

This was a great area, some of the Campsites seemed small so if you have a larger pull along trailer this may not work for you. (Tight area, sharp, steep curves) Everything was super clean and campsites aren't one on top of the other. The lake was beautiful and we really enjoyed the walking trails.
