Drove 2 hours hoping to get the cabin that says walk-up. We arrived and the reservation 877 number says it is available but they can’t give it us only the park staff can. The 877 number staff apologized. We drove to the office to ask about the cabin and the supervisor said that walk-in on the reservation chart actually means that you can’t drive to the cabin. I asked her to simply apologize for the miscommunication but she insisted that I misread the website. She claims the chart gives the options of available, reserved, or walk-in on foot not by car. Walk-in on the chart has nothing to do with whether or not the cabin is available she claimed. We had to drive back home because nothing else was available. Thanks for ruining our trip supervisor.

I haven’t camped back here to review that aspect but I’ve done some walking through the trails as well as fishing off the waters edge and I really enjoy being out here. Feels like an escape from the city and people for just a little bit without handing to drive out too far.

Always a great place to take your family. Nice walks, water park ,barbecue pits bring your camper, tent or rent a little cabin. Your family will love it and you.

We averaged $32 / night for W / E50. This is is a wonderful state campground with sites under high trees providing lots of shade - especially appreciated with 4 straight days in the 90s!!!. Our back in dirt site was just long enough for our 37 foot motorhome. We did need to use a few boards under the rear tires to level the motor home. We would definitely stay here again!!! Dover including the Air Mobiity Museum, Rehobeth Beach, Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge and so much more are within an hour of this campground.

Very nice campground, however, the campsites are too close together and not clearly designated as to where one starts and the other one ends...
