We stopped here for two nights on our way to another destination. The park is beautiful with plenty of trails for hiking. The restrooms are very clean and some are being renovated. The staff is very friendly. There is a nice playground for children and a lake for canoeing and kayaking. Last night, while we were sitting around the campfire, a heard of deer came within 20 yards of our campsite. The park is very quiet with only sounds of nature and the occasional airplane overhead. Our only complaint is that our site, number 30, was not very level.

We went to this park in the beginning of April, so it wasn’t green. But the hike was great and almost flat terrain. Saw many fellow hikers with their dogs, and dogs were having a great time as well. There’s a dedicated area for equestrian and trailers. Most hiking trails are free of horses and horse dung. We wanted to go to the foothills of Crowders but we miss a route and didn’t end up there. Eventually saw Lake Crawford and the stepped spillway in that area. It wasn’t crowded and paid entrance fees of $3 each. Good to spend 4-5 hours.

Frequently go here. Nice place to take a drive. Several places to stop and enjoy nature. Places to camp and hike. Good walking for kids available. A little museum area is there and open during busier times.

One of my favorite places to camp.. Love it.. I became a winter host there for several years. Love the new updates they have done. And love Lake Crawford

There is a nice small walk around the lake's edge. There are also much bigger trails you can join from this location. It's a BEAUTIFUL hidden gem in the middle of nowhere! The helpful woman in the lodge was A++++
