I am not one to post detailed reviews but after visiting this park, I felt it is necessary. I will say that the park is clean and the grounds are maintained however, we were charged for every little thing possible. We are seasoned campers and have visited many other parks and haven’t been charged for early check in, additional guests and even a charge per car. We were never informed of an early check in fee. (We’ve also never had to pay for early check in!) We would’ve happily paid for it but it would’ve been nice to know that it would be charged to our account. We were escorted to our site by a member of the office staff. This was a nice gesture as the park is busy and there aren’t many signs giving directions to sites. It appears that the majority of their sites are filled with permanent campers. I did not see many spots open for weekend campers. I think it would be beneficial if they explained their rules/fees to their guests upon arrival so that everyone is aware. They are very strict about their rules and policies. My son in law came in through the gate after me(we paid for them to be on our site, he didn’t have a pass to get through. We were not told how else they were to get in and out of the gate) Josie jumped into the golf cart quickly to let us know that isn’t allowed. She had a terrible attitude about the entire thing and seemed super put off that she had to come talk to us about it. It was an honest mistake. I understand enforcing rules but goodness! It wasn’t necessary to be rude. We enjoyed our trip with our family but we will not be back. I’ve never been to a park that charges for every single thing they can. There is also a rule of one car per site which is a little tricky when you have more than one family on your trip.

The park is a lot of money. It is close to Lake Monroe although we didn't visit the lake. It is mostly seasonal sites. I heard there are 250 sites and 215 are seasonal. We had a concrete full hook up across from the pool, which was nice. There was a slope up to the level pad but made it interesting to back in. It seems to be a click of people that all "Live" there on weekends. They did offer Bingo and have volleyball and play areas. The store/office seems well stocked. You get a gate key to get in. If you had visitors come they would charge $15 a day. Crazy IMO. I would not go there again, even though it was clean, just cost to much and not my idea of camping.

This is our 1st of MANY YEARS here!! Very Nice staff, many amenities & very well maintained! The owner is almost always on-site and that is a good sign! They have a lot of guidelines and that keeps it clean, comfortable & orderly! We found some cool trails that we can take our golf cart on. We loved the 1st Annual Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade! And enjoyed the corn bag tournament in the party pavilion!! DEFINITELY OUR HAPPY PLACE!!!

The camp grounds was nice and clean. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to. The golf cart parade was neat! Pool and playground for kids. My only concern is parking/pricing. My wife and brother drove separately so they could leave a day early. It cost $80 for them to park in guest parking and was told they would have to pay again if they left and came back even though we were charged for two say minimum. $10/a car plus $10/a person in said car with 2 day minimum. Little ridiculous. I understand paying for parking to keep car volume down but $80. Overall the stay was great and would stay again if everywhere else was booked up.
