Great State campground close to Plattsburgh and Vermont! Only one complaint, main road that leads to the entrance of camping area wraps around the pond that is the focal point of the park!! Very loud in the morning when work trucks and other traffic is active! Other than that the Pond is awesome to explore with a kayak or canoe. Many local birds especially geese can be found. Site #11 is the best, very private and has access to the water. Hope this helps.😊

Quiet, not crowded. Great place to run cross-country.

I saw a family make an innocent mistake by collecting camping equipment they thought was abandoned. Turned out it wasn't. They returned everything and apologized. Both parties involved admitted it was a simple misunderstanding. They thought it was all settled and over with. The park however decided on their own to take it to then next level and call the police. There was no need for that. The park overstepped their bounds. If anyone should've called, it should have been the ones that got their equipment returned to them. I'm fully informed on this incident because I know both families involved.
