The Maxwell Gunter AFB FamCamp is a family-friendly camping facility located on Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. Good Place to stop the night in our motorhome. They have recently paved the road from the Kelly Gate around the southside to the famcamp & softball fields. It was November and cool, so people we inside their RV's. Many students attending MAFB military schools having campers there

Very disappointed. I called and made reservations but unfortunately the reservation was not entered into the computer. This left us with having to find another campground as there was no space available. The staff suggested a local COE and that's where we ended up. Also the tree branches are very low and your unit will probably scrape.

Once we found the entrance to the AFB, the FamCamp is beautiful. Spacious sites, well maintained grounds with a Lake and large playground for children. We will definitely come back if we're traveling near by.
