Great little campground in the perfect location for visiting Moosehead Lake. Campground is not fancy (which is reflected in their rates) but very nice. Our site was huge and set in what looked like a old apple orchard. Basic amenities include water and electric. Friendly and helpful owners. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

We are full time RVers and have traveled the country and stayed at dozens upon dozens of campgrounds. We just checked in and set up at our site here at moose head family campground. The man and woman that checked us in (the owners, I presume) are just about the nicest people we have ever met. The campground is nicely laid out and our site #8 is huge and wonderfully forested. When you’ve been to as many campgrounds as we have, you know a real gem when you see it. This place is one of those.

Great campground with perfectly sized sites with amenities that were well placed for our camper. The owners were very friendly and willing to help you if needed. The sites are wooded with plenty of privacy and easy to pull into. Also located close to Greenville downtown which has plenty to offer.
