This used to be a spectacular place. Now they've gone from $1500 to $1800, then to $2500, now $4000. They've taken away the security people, disallowed diving in the lake, and they want to charge if you have a visitor over for a campfire. The restaurant is closed permanently, and no visitors at the beach either. Sadly, we had to pull out.

My husband and I drove up to see if we could drive through the campground and check it out and get a feel for the layout. They refused. Then we asked if we could drive up to the office and chat with someone about making a reservation and ask some questions and they refused us at the gate. We will not be booking any reservations at anytime. Their customer service is disgusting.

My husband and I stopped in Saturday asking if we could see the park because we are in need of a seasonal site. The lady at the entry point was really rude to us and said everyone was busy and an appointment was necessary. She seemed more interested in the person she was speaking to at the gate. We visited other campgrounds that day and they were more than happy to oblige. I understand the necessity for an appointment, but rudeness isn't necessary. You lost a possible customer.

This place used to be the best place around for reasonably clean water, nice well kept sand beaches, and a decent atmosphere. Now, the new owners don't even allow the public in. They need their head's examined clearly. At this point I'd rather have the government take it from them and open it back up to the public. GET RID OF THESE OWNERS.

Beautiful setting, fantastic shade trees, very quiet, nice gravel sites so not dealing with mud on a rainy day. Bathroom showers are very clean, that need updating. Would have rated a 5, but no laundry room.
