The park was beautiful and seemed very peaceful when we first arrived with all the tall trees and the river. But once we settled in, we walked through the park and there seem to be quite a few very old RV/travel trailer with a lot of junk around them. Walking down to the river you had to watch your step because not everyone cleans up after their dogs. The showers are very outdated and smelled very musty. We could not get their Wi-Fi to work due to no signal and didn’t sleep due to a dog barking and what sounded like someone beating on a camper door or wall all night. We felt somewhat uneasy at this park so chose to leave earlier in the morning than planned.

We stayed at River's Edge for one night and overall it was okay for a single night stop. The site was a decent size, relatively easy to get into and had a picnic table. However, the sites are essentially compacted sand. You'll want a good sized rug if staying for more than a night. The park is only 2 miles off of the interstate but there isn't a grocery or gas station close and there's not really a campstore. The bathhouse is run down and in need of some updating especially with the windows not being frosted glass for privacy! Cell phones barely work and there's no internet to speak of so if you need to make a call or search for anything you will need to drive back to the interstate. I would recommend a full hookup site because the dump station is elevated such that the septic connection is higher than your camper tires when you pull in. The campground did have a small boat launch that would probably be good for kayaks and canoes but not much else.

Came in reserved for 2 nights. Stayed one! No cell service at all and no internet which was advertised. They said the spot we were in didnt get internet. Run down and a lot of full timers, which is fine because we are too, but you have to care about your rv and spot!!

Never again. This place is still advertising amenities they DON'T have. There is no country store, no clubhouse, and the WiFi is poor. Half the visiters there aren't even camping. They live there. Staff doesn't want to help you with anything. They just want your money and be left alone. Very disappointing.

Checked in and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and well kept. Would highly recommend for a quiet stay.
