Beautiful place to snowshoe in the winter or hike in the warm weather. Came here with a group of friends and had a awesome picnic lunch and had an excellent snowshoe workout.

This is a convenient campground close to Santa Fe. I am leaving a 1 star review because "the host" was one of the rudest, most disrespectful people I have ever talked to. There are several other reviews about her in particular so I know I'm not the only one. We reserved campsite #6 because the sign up front says #1-6 are walk in only. We payed for 3 nights and were told that we had to pack up and move after 1 night because somebody had it reserved online for the next 2 days. I even showed her that the sign says 1-6 are walk in only and she continued being belligerent after showing her proof that she was wrong. I would not recommend staying here just because of her and she needs to be fired so that others can actually enjoy the beauty of this campsite.

We stayed three nights. The vault toilets smelled terrible. Something is wrong with their ventilation system. There was one across the street from us. Wish the maps would show locations of restrooms. Relatively quiet campground, except for the occasional noisy generator. The nights were extremely quiet and so were most of the campers. The loudest, most obnoxious thing was the camp hosts incredibly noisy ATV. I Know they were probably supplied with this incredible noise maker but when parked they could have turned the ignition off. They had a habit of taking their large dog around with them, which barked, causing our dogs and others to bark. I guess the days of being as quiet as possible in a campground are over. Here's to the good old days when there were no generators and there were actual rangers who oversaw campgrounds and did a great job!

If you didn't make a reservation spot, they have first come, first serve. Luckily for us, we were able to get a cancelled spot. It's $10 a night cash. They do not make change so be sure you have small bills or exact amount. Very nice campground, friendly people and quiet nights.
