Quiet, clean toilets. Good river access. Lots of yellow jackets or wasps hanging around in the afternoon but that's just nature.

Beautiful campground. Day Use Fee area at the picnic pavillion has sign $9 Day Use Fee. Everyone is given 15 min (potty break or snap a photo) before they are tagged and expected to pay. Signs are clearly posted. Some people actually park right in front of the sign and complain when they are asked to pay. If that ruins your lunch and day maybe you pay attention to your surrounding and read the posted signs.

Rip off!! Pull up to that nice looking big empty gazebo to eat your picnic lunch and if you don’t notice a tiny sign off to the right, the rude camp hosts will swoop in to collect $9 from you as a day fee. Ruined our lunch and was a sour spot on our trip. If it was more clearly posted we would have chosen another place to eat. The best part of the encounter was watching the lady try to get a license plate number from the temp tag of the truck we had recently purchased. That part was entertaining, but not enough to offset the overall inconvenience.

We enjoy this campground because it is quiet, very clean and the hosts are wonderful. Really close to redfish and not nearly as crowded.

The campsite itself was great. Sites were easy to access, clean, and in good shape. My family and I went in June of 2021 and the hosts, Mike and MJ Smith were two of the rudest and least accommodating campsite hosts I have ever encountered. Upon arrival I was in a rush to feed my 3 month old baby who had a long day of traveling. We surveyed the campsite and noticed plenty of spots. We pulled in one while waiting for the rest of my family to arrive so I could feed our baby and see where we all wanted to camp. Meanwhile my husband unloaded a little bit of gear (mostly things for the baby) while we waited. We were there for maybe 10 minutes before the remainder of our group showed up. At this time Mike and MJ showed up in their golf cart. Mike got out and immediately yelled at us that we needed to pay if we were going to camp. Mind you that there were no fee envelopes at the pay station and there was a sign that told us a host would be by our site. So from our perspective we were doing only what they had told us to by being in a site. I asked if we could wait to pay for five minutes to make sure this was the site we wanted to be in. MJ then piped up and said that we cannot occupy any site for any amount of time without paying, I replied that we had just stopped quickly so I could feed my 3 month old. In response to that MJ said “if I needed to do THAT I should have parked in the day use area”. We paid and stayed in that site. It was fine. The next day we overheard them complaining about how we parked our car and that “was the old ladies car with all the kids” referring to my mother in law who had joined us for the trip. For a hospitality job, these two did the worst job I have ever seen. It’s not even busy season yet and they seemed completely overwhelmed and were rude to my entire family. As any mother knows, traveling with babies can be stressful and their “welcome” was completely unnecessary.
