After all the negative reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But truthfully we had a great experience tent camping here. The tent pad/surrounding area was great for our large tent! Downside, the campground needs to be better maintained. The steps down to the site were an accident waiting to happen, especially for us older folks ! Yes, we did have neighbors that enjoyed their music really loud at night, but that’s part of camping, you us you never know who will parked close by !!

Overall wonderful experience. The grounds are beautiful. Playground isn't the safest equipment. Our first night we had some unpleasant neighbors in regards to noise and language, manners, and drunkenness but was kind of expected on a weekend night. Bathroom cleanliness and maintenance is lacking.

Don't even know where to begin. It's a shame what a nightmare the experience was considering the location being so beautiful. The noise from the large group of campers is ridiculous. The campground rules state that there aren't any speakers/sound systems allowed but 2 separate camps near us were blasting music to a ridiculous level. We, among other campers, called security and the campground manager Ted showed up. He was defending the large noisy party that everyone was upset about saying they were "regular" customers and that they were allowed to be that loud until quiet hours. We gave him the benefit of doubt but surely enough they kept partying until 4am. He came the next morning acting like he was kicking them out but did not. The rules also state that there are only 2 cars permitted per campsite but their camp had about 12 cars and even blocking the main road. This Ted guy doesn't even know his own rules let alone able to manage it. He prefers to defend his "regular customers" and their parties over campers that just want peace and quiet. We spoke with many of the other campers and everyone was upset about the noise as well and that there was nothing being done. We even saw some campers tell us they couldn't stand it and were leaving early. If you are looking for a retreat out in nature this is not the place. I literally never write reviews but the way this Ted guy handled things was just so bad. It's surprising and unsettling how he's the manager there.

Campground definitely in need of maintenance. Site A was small for Class A. The sites were not marked well which made our site hard to find. Had to be careful getting out of RV due to drop off. Turn around areas were to small to turn RV around. Had to back out. Pavilion at Site A was rotten and falling in. No easy access to lake from this area. I will say the views were beautiful and lots of wildlife to see. It could be a super campground if maintenance was done and proper signage installed.

Lake Lanier is too beautiful for words, but this campground needs a little work. I jumped at the chance to get a water view electric and water site for the weekend. They put us at site T which looks good on a map but then you roll up to realize it's just a concrete slab. A parking spot, really. No fire ring. No picnic table...not even a place to pinch a tent. We called before they closed down the front office and they allowed us to move over to X for the night, which was appreciated. We all got stung by wasps that were bedding down in clay. That sucked. But really enjoyed the wildlife otherwise and would consider going again. Limited access to restrooms from our spot. We had to drive to use them. So just another heads up.
