Can't wait to camp here, it is beautiful

Such a peaceful quiet campground!! Host was so so nice and clearly loves the area and the animals. The best thing about this campground is driving through the herds of bison on the way. Heard stories of the animals even paying visits to the campground! (Wolves, bears etc!) We went for a refreshing dip in the creek and some of the sites are right on the creek which must be very peaceful. Also, cleanest pit toilets we’ve ever seen! The campground is not super close to the rest of the park but it’s perfect if you want to explore the wildlife in this region of the park! Please CANCEL your reservation online if you book and decide not to come. Lots of the campsites went empty which was sad because I know how hard it is to get one 😒

One of the best places we stopped during a few days in the park. Got out the folding chairs and sat by the creek for a while. Peaceful and gorgeous with almost no other people around.

We just used the day camp area but it is a beautiful spot in Yellowstone! There are some spots that give the kids easy access to splash in the river. Further up, bring your fly rod as there is some world class angling for those willing to make the hike. The campground doesn't seem to get the same amount of pressure as most of the other park campgrounds do. It is a little out of the way but well worth the visit. Nice vault toilet on site. One of my favorite places to take the kids and have a picnic in the park.

One of the most amazing campgrounds I have ever been to! Black bear momma with cubs walked through our site, wolf walking across the stream and howling at night, huge bison on the road, world class fly fishing around the corner.. hard to beat! Somewhat far from other things but worth the drive for wildlife. Nice bathrooms and campground hosts were great people. Fyi: the trail from the campground to the meadows above is out from tree fall. Take the main trail from the parking lot and start early, it gets hot!
