This place is beautiful... However.... The mid - level customer service, and extra charges for everything, suggest that they are way too used to being fully booked.

This place is what it is. If you want a quiet, relaxing camping experience...you won't find it here unfortunately. But most people come here for the proximity to the lake so up to each individual to decide what they're looking for. Had some people get really irked at the noise of the kids - it's a communal camping area. The reviews clearly state this so if that is not for you, best to find another campground

Summer 2021 proved a challenging season for campers to secure a spot. We lucked out when there was a cancellation at Sunnyside and we got in. The campground is GIGANTIC. The place is so big there is security 24hrs who patrol. My first experience there we were welcomed by security yelling at us. He wanted to redirect a vehicle in the entrance line to get in and yelled at me to move. There were other options easily available for him to navigate the situation. Not the best start. Bathrooms: several bathroom buildings throughout. With a shower or two available (included in your camp fee). They aren't maintained in the best condition and we found soap dispensers empty all too often. Showers dirty. Floors gross. Countertop soaked leaving no dry spot to place your belongings. No paper towels available to clean those counters either. Sites: mostly gravel. Felt like camping downtown. Sites squeezed in together side by side with no privacy. My son was told we were staying at a "Private Campground" and was puzzled when we arrived. He said "I don't think this place is actually a private campground" (he's used to Camping off grid where it feel private and spacious) Lake: Private access to beautiful and warm Cultus Lake. That was the reason we camped at Sunnyside. The early mornings are the best time to go as the water is calm. Before the power boats hit the lake. We felt the place overpriced, but we wanted to camp and provincial sites were impossible to get into, so we can't complain.

Youre RIGHT next to other campers but its still fun I love this place, been coming since the 90s. Youre also right by the lake that this camp ground has pet friendly area. As well as docks. Place to park your boat in the water. I just loveeeee this place!!!

Lots of trees and a good location but very expensive.
