We were here for a Family Reunion April 2022. We stayed 3 nights in a cabin and reserved the newly renovated clubhouse for all day Saturday. Another family member rented 2 other cabins, and another parked their travel trailer and others live locally. Everyone, 30+ in number, had a splendid time! All the KOA staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. Their only concern was that we had all we needed. The cabins were like new and clean. So was the clubhouse with table, chairs, restroom, and kitchen with full complement of appliances and pots & pans. We believe it to be true that this KOA is updating and it takes time of course. Nothing but money hungry. Booked a reservation for 30 days in March. Made the reservation 8 weeks prior to the date we wanted to stay. 3 days after booking reservation I found out I couldn’t make it so I called to cancel. Mind you, I already looked online prior to reservation to make sure I could cancel if needed. Online it states that for long term stays (any reservation longer than 2 weeks) a 30 day notice is required to get your deposit back. The deposit was $1300 because of the time of year (not to mention this was ridiculous enough). Got transferred to the long term stays department where the man told me I wasn’t gonna get my deposit back. Told him I was going to dispute the charge because it clearly states online their national policy at KOA is a 30 days notice and you’ll get refund back minus a $20 charge. He said “good luck, two people just tried to dispute charges and lost”. I hang up, he calls back the next day and says we may be able to work something out. He said KOA would sell my reservation to someone else, and they would give me $650 out of the $1300 back- out of curtesy. I simply laughed and said you’re gonna make someone pay full price and only give me half of my money back? He said unfortunately this is the only thing we can do, but you can’t dispute the charge if you want us to try and find a buyer for your reservation. Long story short, discover credit had enough common sense to read their cancellation policy (which is clearly posted online) and rule the dispute in my favor. KOA is nothing but a money hungry cooperation. They tried so hard to get me to accept only half my money back from the deposit while they could charge someone else full price. Not to mention this was an entire month before the reservation date.

I would NEVER stay at this campground again. First of all, when I called to make a reservation they told me it was full. Then they said they had one spot left right next to the office. When we got there at least 1/4 of the spaces were available so after begging them to move us to a more private spot, because we have 2 small dogs they finally agreed. Remember, they said park was full. The bathrooms were filthy and the staff was far from nice. Too busy to help us. We rented a fire ring and paid for wood. I thought things were fine when we left but then they charged us $100 for the fire ring, claiming we stole it ! It was still smoldering when we left ! Who would take a smoldering fire pit especially in my new car ? The KOA would do nothing and not even let me speak to a manager. I would never stay here again and warn others of this fraud. What a way to steal from their own patrons. Beware. This place is shady to say the least.

Friendly staff. We stayed 3 nights. The pool is nice, clean, but small. The site we had was a deluxe patio pull through- mostly level concrete pad. Very long, average space width wise. The showers were very clean, lots of hot water and good water pressure, but dated with a few repairs needed. The campground is under new management and they are getting ready to do some repairs. The roads are paved but narrow with a couple of tight turns depending on your site. The best thing about the campground is the location! We were able to go to the beach, the space center, and the riverfront in less than 30 minutes. We thought it was a great place to call home base while we enjoyed the space coast!

Zoey at the front desk is amazing and was always there to help. The grounds men was very helpful and wonderful. The place was very clean and fun actives on weekend. Thank you so much for a much needed nice long weekend
