This is a beautiful park, but if you are camping and looking for peace and quiet, this isn't your place. Camping area close to a road, cars drive by frequently. Camp sites are close to each other, kids, dogs barking, loud campers. If this is what you want, this is the place for you. I wanted solitude, didn't get it. Bathhouses are very clean. Wood is sold for $5 for about 6-8 pieces. Nice little camping store with all kinds of things you might need.

Love this place! Grew up going here, it has changed so much over the years but my experiences are always great. There are all kinds of sites to choose from. We tried the E loop for the first time and it has been our favorite so far. They are large walk in sites. We had a 10 person tent and a canopy with 2 hammocks. Could have easily fit 2 more tents on site and it still be comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and the showers warm. The bikes they offer are fun, we loved going on the bob trail!

We will be leaving tomorrow after a 5 day stay. This is a beautiful, shady campground. So restful & peaceful. Extra clean bathhouse which looks like it was been remodeled recently. Water, electric, picnic table & metal fire ring and dump away from campsites. Some sites are very narrow, but majority are good size. We stayed A3 which fits a 28 ft. Travel trailer and also room for a 2500 RAM truck. We are right next to the walk railing to the bath house which is very close to us. Love the trails (walking/bike/horse), and nice big playground. Trails lead to boat launch, picnic areas and Trap Pond State Park, lake full of kayakers, canoes, boats. Weekends offer Pontoon tour around the lake for a nominal fee. Noisy crowds come in for weekends, but it seems they are families/relatives having fun. Laurel, Delaware and Salisbury, MD nearby with an abundance of restaurants and shopping. Visit The Country House in Salisbury if you like country items. Countryside of large farms and vegetable/fruit stands. If ever in the area we will be back.

This is an amazing little gem of a park, close to the beaches, but only lightly visited in the middle of summer. And the kayak trails through the cypress swamp are like something out of a movie. Now that you've read this, forget about it. "(Waves hand) this is not the park you're looking for." Seriously, it's great, check it out.

Two night camping trip on B loop. Super clean, well-sized sites, organized check-in and check-out process, lots of friendly staff to answer questions. Firewood, ice, and some camping basics available at the camp store that is where you check in. I even saw a bike rental. Kayak rentals at the main entrance on the other side of the pond. Dog and kid friendly camping, super clean updated bath house in loop B, C loop has an older bath house. Each loop has a dock out onto Trap Pond with breathtaking views and wildlife. I visited on a weekend and the campers were respectful of restricting noise after 10 pm. I enjoyed the hiking trails. I will definitely be back to explore more!
