Warsaw Caves Conservation Area

Warsaw Caves is a fantastic trip for your family and friends. Many locations within walking distance to hike, sit, relax and explore. The caves are something else! You can actually go down pretty far underground which is fascinating. So much so that you can see icicles hanging from the ceilings. However be aware that it's a tight fit. If you're claustrophobic then you might have some issues trying to get all the way down to the bottom. There is also a beach with a slow flowing river, the water is also very clean. A great place for a picnic! I would also suggest taking the main path to the main lookout because the view is absolutely gorgeous!

Was a fine hike. There's a deep Gorge with one lookout area (of sorts) and lots of varied terrain. The trails aren't marked very well, and the trail map they have us not detailed enough to be able to just sort it out easily. So if you've never been, keep that in mind, and don't go in the winter when there's no park staff around. I don't recommend hiking here in the early spring - I just went (end of March), and the trails were thick with ice. I imagine it gets pretty wet in the trails themselves. Fine for experienced hikers. I'm sure they're beautiful trails in the summer and early fall, and will go back again to check them out. I wish the trail markers were clearer and the map was better.

Great walking trails, staff are super friendly. Was disappointed that the caves were closed this season but #covid amirite? Hopefully next season I can do some exploring!

The caves are closed. The lookout trail was just ok. The other trails are in the campground and there is no parking inside. Definitely not worth the entrance fee.

Spent the afternoon canoeing down the Indian River to Warsaw and back. Excellent and relaxing paddle. Just over 11 km.
