White River/Lowry

White River is a tributary of the Arkansas River located in the U.S. states of Colorado and Wyoming. It is approximately 615 miles (990 km) long, draining a rugged and arid region of the Rockies in the states of Colorado and Wyoming. The river begins in the western part of Colorado in the San Juan Mountains, in the southwestern part of the state near the town of Silverton. It flows northwest into Wyoming, then turns eastward, flowing through the town of Baggs, Wyoming, and then into the state of Colorado, where it flows through the towns of Meeker and Rangely. The river then turns southward, flowing through the towns of Craig and Dinosaur before entering the state of Utah. The White River continues southward, eventually joining the Green River in Utah before emptying into the Colorado River.

Had a great experience at this campground. The groundskeeper was nice and always helpful. Great and clean facility. The restrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen at any campground I have been to. Definitely recommend Lowry Campground for your next outdoor adventure.

Our spot was double booked and the host was "off duty" for our while stay so we had to work it out ourselves. Our Site was #12 and for a tent is the best spot in the whole place, very lush and private. The rest of the campground is kind of like an open parking lot. Great location to town and the lake though

THERE IS A HIDDEN FEE FOR ANY EXTRA CARS YOU BRING! First let me start with the pros, 1: The bathrooms are very clean, some of the cleanest nonflushing toilets I've had at a camp sight. That's honestly about the only pro i have. As far as the hidden car fee on there website when you check out you can add extra cars for no cost but as soon as we got to the campsite this dude comes out of nowhere asking for cash for our one extra car (sketch) so we had to pay in order to stay. We then call there help number form the website we booked from. They lady who works for the national forest service mind you looks up our reservation via our confirmation number and tells us there should be no extra fee for an extra car, and says to us if we have a problem with this very rude camp dude to have him call there help desk. The next day Rude camp dude proceeds to yell at us and tell us that the national forest gov lady has no idea what she is talking about and refuses to call them or fix there website!!! He then try's to intimidate us into paying the fee. Luckily we were able to talk with his supervisor who finally level headily was able to show us how 5 pages deep on there web sight in very fine print it talks about the $7 a day fee for an extra car. He was the only one who was able to explain in a calm manner why we had to pay. I commend him in his customer service but the other old guy needs to go. HE THEN FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK HARASSED OUR CAMPSIGHT! By singling us out for anything he could try and hassle our camp for. Other then that the camp sight is awful for tents the ground is only made of rocks every where. The sights are as close as possible, so there is no privacy you can hear the whole camp sight because every on is so close. There is no shade and all of the sights are slanted. If your in an RV it doesn't much matter, but if you have a tent please stay somewhere else. I was very disappointed on how we were treated at this sight and I hope they learn to be a bit kinder to others and PLEASE FIX YOUR SIGHT OR SEND OUT A SIMPLE EMAIL IF YOU SEE THAT THEY HAVE MORE THEN ONE CAR!!!!!
