NEW OWNERSHIP - SUMMER 2022, and it is painfully obvious. Full hookups were available Mothers Day Weekend, but nothing was ready. No events posted, no amenities were set up or even working properly. Incredibly frustrating, and for what you pay for a site, more transparency would have been appreciated. They said they were understaffed, but it seemed to be poor planning, and when we communicated our frustration to the staff, they promised one thing and weren’t able to deliver. Wouldn’t recommend, won’t be back.

It says on the web they opened as of March 12th and it probably should have been a warning sign that the website had no events listed, but really wasn’t truely open as expected for the season this last weekend. I understand no bathrooms/water hookups but the amenities were not open yet no game room, no sightings of yogi bear, etc. The gentleman working was truly nice and said they had recently been purchased by new management and offered to clear off the mini golf for us and gave us a small refund because the premium site we booked wasn’t available to us, but just wish they had been more clear on the website what would be open during the early season or as they transition to new owners because we likely wouldn’t have paid a premium to come there verse other options that were open in town if we knew we weren’t getting a true Jellystone experience. On the upside it’s a good location not far from town and they have 2 very nice parks my daughter enjoyed- look forward to coming back when the new management has worked out the kinks and they are truely open for the season. In the meantime would just recommend others call before booking to confirm what is open before coming and not rely on the website

visited fall 2021 Great campground. This place is in a great location, and has tons of cabins. The restrooms are clean and plenty of hot water. The cabins are roomy (for camping), clean, and have a nice layout. They sell firewood and lots of other stuff at the general store. It's a great place for kids, with plenty of space for them to roam. Would stay again.

Jellystone Park of Estes, CO Rocky Mountain National Park. We stayed for three nights. On two of those nights, we saw elk not far from the campground, just down the street. The elk were by the side of the road and we were able to get beautiful pictures. This campground is built on a hill, and they make use of every inch of space. The escorts who bring you to your site and help you back in are experts, and are able to get even the biggest rigs into the spaces quickly and easily. Tom and his wife (sorry don't know her name) were very helpful and explained lots of things to us about visiting the Park. Even though there were lots of kids, the park was very quiet. Enjoyed staying here!
