A little far from the main attractions, but you're right next to the entrance of Yosemite which is convenient. It was great to find a campground with bathrooms and running water that had availability. Just don't expect much privacy here. They pack lots of campsites into a small area and it's always near 100% occupancy.

This campground has some terrible camp sites. It does have some beautiful areas around and Hetch Hetchy is close by car, but my campsite was at a slope that I didn’t enjoyed my stay.

Great spacious campsite. just the people who camped on the campsite next to us, kept on telling us to be quiet when we were trying to sing around the bonfire

We have been going to Yosemite for 37 years. When the kids were young the Valley was the place to go because there is much to do. As years went on, the Valley got too congested (even off season). We switched to Hodgdon Meadow and love the peace and quiet. If you need to go to the Valley for a shower or just to view the beautiful falls or hiking.... 25 miles is not that far to go and the drive is beautiful.

This is a nice, basic NPS campground, but it isn’t where Google Maps shows it. It’s just inside the park’s west entrance.
